Associação de Psicanálise Relacional -PsiRelacional

(Relational Psychoanalysis Association)

Lisbon, Portugal

PsiRelacional – Associação de Psicanálise Relacional (Relational Psychoanalysis Association) is a non-profit association, founded in January 2016 by psychotherapists, psychoanalysts, and group analysts.

Its name reveals the theoretical model that underlies the training developed by the Association and all its activities: Relational Psychoanalysis, a theoretical body common to psychoanalytic psychotherapists and psychoanalysts.
This theoretical model is based on the fundamental idea that human relationships are the essential source of all psychic development and the fundamental difficulties of living. In clinical practice, the patient's life relationships and, in particular, the co-constituted relationship between patient and therapist, are the focus and driving force of therapeutic development.

In addition to its training activities, the Association develops cycles of scientific events with current topics and authors of national and international renown, ensuring that the scientific debate at PsiRelacional is at the forefront of contemporary relational thinking.

PsiRelacional also publishes the journal Revista PsiRelacional – Perspectivas Relacionais em Psicanálise (PsiRelacional Journal – Relational Perspectives in Psychoanalysis), which publishes works on theory, technique, and research in the field of psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapies, psychoanalysis, and other human and social sciences.

PsiRelacional has a Clinical Network, composed of psychoanalysts from the Association, with private clinical practice and individual responsibility, offering care to babies, children, adolescents, and adults.
