NEW**IAPSP Writing Mentorship Program
Writing—the coalescing and languaging of our thoughts, theories, and practices—is arguably the lifeblood of our organization, as witnessed in the publication of our journal, Psychoanalysis, Self and Context. Fundamental to the production of a successfully published article or an oral presentation is the scaffolding and process by which originality, creativity, and scholarship are nurtured and arise; that is, the requisite help, support, and guidance writers require to bring their ideas to fruition. Writing can be a solitary and, at times, lonely venture, but it need not be.
In that light, we are excited to announce the advent of the IAPSP Writing Mentorship Program. This program is multi-pronged and aims to mentor writers in their quest to manifest their ideas and help facilitate presentable or publishable works in the field (mentorship in publishing within our own journal, if desired). It offers the pairing of newer writers with experienced authors who are interested in developing a mentorship relationship and will also include the development of writing workshops for any writers wishing to improve their composition acumen.
Entry into a writing mentorship experience can focus on a wide array of potential writing domains, including theory building or theory application, idea/thesis formulation, structuring, organizing, syntax, grammar, punctuation, formatting, prepping for journal submission, and many other aspects of the creative process.
We look forward to your support of this program and of course hope you will avail yourself of its benefits, either as a writing mentee or a volunteer mentor. Please reach out to us for any queries you may have.
