Instituto Di Specializzaione In Psicologia Psicoanalitica Dez Se E Psicoanalisi Relazionale (ISIPSE): Italy
ISIPSÉ is an institute specializing in psychoanalytic self psychology and relational psychoanalysis. It is a psychoanalytic institute founded in 1998 with the aim of spreading the psychoanalytic psychology of the self in Italy in its most classic formulations and in its contemporary post-kohutian developments.
ISIPSÉ also promotes the study of relational psychoanalytic models, following a tradition that has always been present in psychoanalysis, however, has been outlined, clarified and deepened with greater clarity in the last thirty years, both in the United States and in Europe.
Both these areas, in addition to having shown numerous and important points of convergence, have proved to be among the most fruitful of contemporary psychoanalysis, both for theoretical innovation and for depth, novelty, and clinical utility, also demonstrating the ability – new in psychoanalysis – of interest and aggregate transversely psychoanalytic schools distant from each other and different and distant psychotherapeutic orientations.
ISIPSÉ is placed in the great groove of the psychoanalytic tradition and has more general cultural objectives and more specific training objectives for the psychoanalytic profession.
ISIPSÉ, as part of its scientific activity, organizes a program of study days with international guests every year. These meetings – consistently with a policy that has the aim of dialogue and integration with the more general culture and with other psychoanalytic currents and other psychotherapeutic orientations – are naturally open to all interested people. The study days want to be a privileged moment for the diffusion and debate on the most current topics of self psychology and relational orientations in psychoanalysis.
